So Busy, So Good

Well, February has almost come and gone, and it's been a busy time as we wrapped up FRINGE for another year, launched the Storytellers Project, started a new garden, gave our toilet block some much-needed TLC, as well as collecting and displaying so many beautiful materials.

And now, a look ahead to March:

  • To celebrate the birthday of Loris Malaguzzi, albeit a little later, we are hosting a special professional development session, If Light is Sight to the Eyes: the Reggio approach in 21st Century Classrooms' on Saturday the 4th of March, rom 12:30-1:45 pm, tickets are $25.

  • Maker-Thursdays begin and run each Thursday at REmida between March and October. Visit REmida on Thursday for free create sessions:

    • Session 1: 9:30 am-10:45 am

    • Session 2: 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm

    • Cost $5 per person.

    • Check the website for more details.

Looking further ahead, we have begun working on our Youtube channel REmida-Builds. The channel will showcase how REmida materials can be used in a diverse range of maker contexts. We will be focusing on achievable builds and projects that people can do at home or school, whether you're a beginner or master crafter.

Here are the progress photos from our recent desk build, made from old bed slats, shelving leftovers, perspex offcuts and more (but you need to visit REmida to see the final build).

Thank you to everyone for giving us such a great start to our year.
