Who is ReMida Perth?

ReMida is a Reggio Emilia-inspired, charitable non-profit creative reuse centre located in West

Perth. Established in 2004 through a collaboration between educators and families from Bold Park Community School and the international network of ReMida Centres, ReMida Perth is the only organisation of its type in Australia. We are proud to be part of a global network dedicated to creative sustainability.

Since incorporating in 2008, ReMida Perth has supported thousands of educators, artists, children, and local communities to forge meaningful links between sustainability, creativity, and education across Western Australia. At our core, we are a passionate team of staff and volunteers achieving big things alongside our dedicated network of suppliers, supporters, and community champions.

What is a ReMida Centre?

ReMida creatively repurposes clean, discarded industrial materials into rich art and educational programs for children, families, and educators. Creative reuse is a methodology that asks: If a material no longer serves its original purpose, how can it be given a new life and kept out of landfill?

At ReMida Perth, we collect items that can be directly repurposed into classroom settings or given a second life through artistic practice. Because our stock depends on what our 70+ local suppliers generate throughout the year, the materials on our shelves are always evolving. Every item you see has been thoughtfully collected, sorted, and displayed by our team to highlight its value as a potential resource for your next creative project.
