Jellyfish Plastics

How precious could our plastics be, if they never reach the sea?

Jellyfish Plastics by REmida est. 2018, is a Precious Plastics inspired model of community-based plastics reuse. Our project focuses on transforming plastic bottle caps into other, beautiful objects . Each time you buy an item from Jellyfish Plastics, you are preventing plastic lids from entering the environment.

There are a range of items available through the store, and you can also submit an order request for items in specific amounts, i.e. if you would like a class set of wheels or counters etc.

Please note:

  • While an item may look like a plate or bowl, they are not intended for use with food (so no microwaves or dishwashers).

  • Our focus is on mixed colours, rather than flat reds, pinks, blues; this comes from our process as sorting, granulating and moulding process is done by a small team and mixed batches are faster.

  • The pictures for each item are a guide, the your item will be of that type, but the colours will vary.

  • You are welcome to granulate and make items from your own supply of lids, there is a small fee attached to the use of the  machines, send us an inquiry here.

  • A 10% deposit is required on all orders, production starts once the deposit has been received.

If you decide you no longer want/need your item, it can be returned to Jellyfish Plastics and turned into something else; there is no need for our items to enter landfill.
