REmida is seeking to broaden both its staff and committee with a number of committed members from all areas of the community. We would be happy to hear from all those interested.

Volunteers Wanted

Volunteers will help with general tasks... data entry, answering phones, giving introductions and tours to visitors, making calls to potential and existing material suppliers. There is also lots of opportunities for volunteers to extend themselves beyond administrative tasks if they desire, helping with article writing for our monthly newsletter, grant writing, seeking potential sponsors and with creative input to project ideas.

This is a potentially valuable opportunity for students interested in gaining experience in the field, particularly in the areas of education, culture and the arts, social capital, community based sustainable development and the non-profit sector.

We would prefer volunteers with some ongoing commitment as much of the work requires knowledge of our philosophy, history and activities and the systems that we use and therefore will require some training. A commitment to a certain number of hours per week would be ideal and we can be quite flexible, fitting in with uni schedules etc.
